Welcome to our Rick Steve's 2008 London Tour! If you've ever considered
 taking a Rick Steve's Tour, we highly recommend it! This was a first tour for
 both of us, and as my mother says "I'm spoiled for any other tour!"

        I'm Rhonda and my mother is Leah, and we had a great time on the
 London Tour last June. My maternal grandmother's grandparents were from
 the Wiltshire and Somerset areas of England and we'd been planning on a
 trip to England for some time to visit our ancestors homeland.

       This was to be a once-in-a-lifetime trip, but we enjoyed it so much, we
 hope to go again! We arrived a few days early and stayed a week after the London Tour, so please visit our pre-
 and post-trip pages at the bottom of these pages. We made good use of the Rick Steves London and England tour
 books for planning and reservations--they are full of great advice!

       We were to meet the group at 3PM on Sunday, but were a bit late because we'd been roaming on our own that
 afternoon, and since we were still novices at navigating the buses and tube stations, I thought we did really good
 at getting back to the hotel. But our tour guide, Tom Hooper, had some fun with us before he let us sit down. ☺

          After the tour briefing and a walking tour of London that included riding the Tube,
   we went to supper as a group to Grumbles, where we had the opportunity to learn more
   about some of our fellow tourists.
